Rushil Sharan

Rushil Sharan is a senior in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University and the founder of The Ursa Majors Group, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing STEM education through teaching, mentorship, and outreach. At Cornell, he is a member of the Unmanned Aerial Systems team, where he has contributed to failure analysis, flight control surface design, and aircraft systems optimization. Professionally, Rushil has completed three consecutive internships at Collins Aerospace (RTX), where he supported product management and marketing initiatives across avionics, predictive maintenance, and connected aviation solutions. His work includes developing Python tools for FlightAware ForeSight®, conducting cost–benefit analyses for predictive health products, and building Power BI dashboards to drive go-to-market strategy and customer engagement. Beyond his engineering and business experiences, Rushil is committed to community impact—leading capstone projects, organizing nonprofit events, and fostering a love for learning among students of all ages. Through Ursa Majors, he continues to provide students with opportunities to explore, build, and grow their academic passions.
