Nikhil Chandrasekar

Nikhil Chandrasekar is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Maryland and an incoming Computer Science master’s student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has extensive experience in machine learning, distributed systems, and software engineering, having worked on research projects in embodied AI at UMD’s Perception Robotics Group and Illinois Network Systems and AI Lab. Nikhil previously served as a Machine Learning Intern at ASML and as a Software Developer Co-Op at UPS, where he led large-scale data infrastructure modernization initiatives. As the founder and former president of UMD’s AWS Cloud Club, he built a 400+ member community centered on cloud architecture, AI, and cybersecurity. At Ursa Majors, Nikhil brings his passion for intelligent systems and applied machine learning to help empower the next generation of innovators.
