Mei Ling Wood

Mei Ling Wood is a junior at Cornell University studying Biomedical Engineering with a strong interest in biomechanics, bioinstrumentation, and applied design. Her work spans research, product development, and outreach—combining technical problem-solving with a passion for community impact.

At Cornell, Mei Ling conducts research in the Esmaily Lab, studying neurodegenerative disease modeling and computational simulations, and she serves as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Myovara, where she designs and prototypes wearable systems for muscle signal acquisition. She also contributes to Combat Robotics @ Cornell as a marketing team member, helping lead outreach initiatives and brand strategy.

Through Ursa Majors, Mei Ling aims to inspire students to explore the intersections of engineering, health, and creativity—encouraging curiosity and confidence in every learner.
