Student Advisor, hrs94@cornell.edu
Hannah Schneider is a senior at Cornell University majoring in Neurobiology and Behavior with a minor in Psychology. Her academic and professional interests focus on neurological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s, which she explores through her work as a Research Assistant in the David Smith Lab of Neurobiology of Learning and Memory and as a Nursing Assistant at Cayuga Medical Center.
Beyond the lab, Hannah is an active volunteer at Beechtree Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, where she supports residents living with Alzheimer’s, and she serves as the Social Media Chair for Alzheimer’s Buddies, a Cornell organization dedicated to improving quality of life for those affected by dementia. Through Ursa Majors, Hannah aims to inspire curiosity in the life sciences and help students connect their passion for neuroscience and medicine to meaningful real-world impact.
