Elvin Fu is a senior at Cornell University majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Sustainable Energy Systems. He conducts research in the Symbiotic Engineering and Analysis Lab, focusing on sustainable mineral extraction, hydrogen generation, and life-cycle assessments of clean energy technologies. Elvin has served as a Teaching Assistant for Thermodynamics and Dynamics, mentoring students in core mechanical principles and computational modeling.
His professional experience spans roles in energy engineering and sustainability, including work with The Efficiency Network on large-scale solar and HVAC optimization projects and with Nestlé on advancing corporate sustainability initiatives. Elvin brings a strong foundation in CAD design, finite element analysis, and energy systems modeling, supported by a passion for environmental stewardship and engineering innovation. At Ursa Majors, he is dedicated to mentoring students in hands-on STEM exploration and helping them connect engineering with real-world sustainability impact.
