Beatrice Hungate

Beatrice Hungate is a senior at Cornell University majoring in Biological Engineering. Her work bridges molecular biology and biomedical innovation, with experience in vaccine and antiviral research through the Aguilar-Carreño Lab of Virology and Immunology, where she supports the development of therapies targeting coronaviruses and paramyxoviruses. Previously, she interned at Pfizer in Viral Vaccine Research and Development, leading a project to automate pre-clinical assay workflows and enhance data robustness.
Beyond her research, Beatrice is Co-President of The Steminist Movement at Cornell, where she leads outreach programs that inspire and empower young women to pursue STEM fields. She is also a long-time volunteer with TASSEL Cambodia, teaching English and fostering cross-cultural connections through education. At Ursa Majors, Beatrice brings her passion for mentorship, global perspective, and commitment to making science accessible for all.
