Akshil Sharan is a sophomore studying Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His professional interests span engineering, consulting, operations, and the financial sectors.

Akshil has gained diverse experience across industries, including energy, telecommunications, and management consulting. Most recently, he completed an internship at Synpulse, a global management consulting firm in New York City, where he supported projects for Tier 1 banks focused on AI agent enhancement, data aggregation for wealth management, financial crime compliance, and AI-driven test script automation. Through these experiences, he has developed a strong foundation in analytical problem-solving, operational strategy, and technical tools such as Python, Java, and C++.

Beyond industry, Akshil serves as a Senior Consultant at Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations (SCNO) at UIUC—a pro bono organization that provides strategic consulting services to NGOs on a global, national, and local scale. He continues to bridge his interests in data, technology, and impact-driven strategy to make a tangible difference across the communities he serves.
